SUMNER G. DAVIS
Lillington--Sumner G. Davis, 55, of Lillington, Route 3, died in the Veterans Hospital at Fayetteville Thursday after a short illness. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 P.M. at Antioch Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Rev. R. E. Moore will conduct the rites. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Flonnie Davis; a daughter, Mrs. Curtis Parker of Lillington, Route 3; two brothers, Neal Davis of Lillington, Route 2, and Henry Davis of Jacksonville, Fla.; three sisters, Mrs. J. E. Brown and Mrs. A. H. Stewart of Lillington, Route 2, and Mrs. L. C. Rosser of Broadway. Mr. Davis was a veteran of World War I and a member of the American Legion. Legionnaires will serve as honorary pallbearers at the funeral and military rites will be held at the grave side.
