July 11, 2001:
Lettye Baker O'Quinn, 89, of Broadway died Saturday, June 30, at her home.
The Harnett County native was preceded in death by her husband, William B. O'Quinn.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 3, in Spring Hill United Methodist Church by the Revs. David Benson and Martin Groover. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Survivors include one son, William "Bill" O'Quinn, Jr. of Broadway; three daughters, Dorothy O. Morrison of Lillington and Bobbie O. Upchurch and Carolyn O. Rice, both of Broadway; a godson, Michael U. O'Hearn of Texas; two sisters, Elva B. Suggs of Bunnlevel and Eloise B. Stephenson of Lillington; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Spring Hill United Methodist Church, 1960 Spring Hill Church Road, Lillington. N.C. 27546; or to Community Home Care and Hospice, 5301 Morganton Road, Fayetteville, N.C. 28314.
