John Sanders Neighbors served with the North Carolina Confederate Militia durning the Civil War. The 52d Regiment, Harnett County, 13th Brigade. He served as a 1st. Lieutenant, 30/Nov/61, Lower Grove Dist. You have heard that he was a Doctor. We have yet to find out what kind of Doctor. His son John Henry Jackson served in this unit as a 2d Lieutenant, 30/Nov/61, Lower Grove Dist. then he joined a regular unit with his brother. This information is from the North Carolina Confederate Militia Officers Roster as Contained in the Adjutant-General's Officers Roster, by Stephen E. Bradley.
