| Notes |
- [Mike Tutor]
Lucy Jane Tutor Hobby (1816-1900),
"...Lucy was one of William Owen Tutor's daughters. She lived on his seven hundred and eighty-one acre plantation for sixty years. Thirty four of those sixty years were during his lifetime. Lucy raised Mary Tutor. Mary lived with her aunt Lucy for seventeen years. Mary was the orphaned daughter of Owen Young Tutor and Lucinda Dennis. Lucy Jane Tutor Hobby told many of the stories about her father and events in North Carolina to her niece, Mary Eva Tutor Churchill, and to her nephew, Marshall A. Tutor (1846-1928). She told about her father's voyage from Wales and about his ordeals in Virginia and North Carolina."
