The Parkers honored on anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Curtis Parker were honored recently on their 35th wedding anniversary with a reception at the Antioch Baptist Church.
Hosts for the occasion were the children and grandchildren of the honored couple including Mr. and Mrs. Ray Parker, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Sykes, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Wester, Jonathan Sykes, Kristen Sykes, Kenny Wester, Jeffrey Wester and Julie Wester.
Greeting the guests were Mr. and Mrs. Roger Thomas, while Mr. and Mrs. Lee O'Quinn presided at the gift table, and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Thomas presided at the guest register. Good byes were said to Mr. and Mrs. Allen Spainhour.
Mrs. Agnes Atkinson, sister of Parker, served the three tier yellow and white wedding cake. Mrs. Elise Brown and Mrs. Daphine Weaver served the punch. Also assisting in serving were Mrs. Irma Salmon, Mrs. Daphine Byrd, Mrs. Elsie Stewart, Mrs. Fred Patterson, Mrs. Cleo Byrd, and Mrs. Emily Thomas.
