Hi,
Then what you are saying is that you are not the son of Tom and Alice?
You didn't have a Robert listed as one of the children of Tom and Alice. John says that Bobby Baker worked with the newspaper in Dunn. He says he had a Cushman scooter that he rode to deliver the paper and that Bob Baker had a "face full of freckles"
He remembers all the info you sent, but thought Frances was the daughter of Sadie. He said Sadie was either in the WAVES or WAC and wasn't married when she had the baby. He said he also forgot about Doris but now he does remember her. He wanted me to ask you if you have a cousin, Jimmy Lee Marks and also Howard Lee Marks. Their mother was Ida Marks. Martha Harrell Walston remarried a Little after the death of John Edward Walston. John says Mr. Little died from a spider bite. Their daughter Ida Little married a Marks.
John says that Alice worked in the cloth room at the mill as did his dad, and also had "brown lung" as his dad. He says that his Aunt Alice raised all the kids by herself, since Tom was murdered. He says that Dave Matthews, Cleo's husband was a state trooper.
We will try to find out more info on Tom Baker from John's sisters. His brother Lloyd passed away right before Christmas. He had lung cancer and is sadly missed.
Keep in touch
John and Joyce
