Harnett County News, Wednesday, April 5, 2000:
John L. Nordon Jr.
John L. Nordon Jr., 73, of Mamers, a native of Harnett County, died Wednesday, March 29, at IHS Nursing Home in Dunn.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Patterson Nordon.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 1, at Holly Springs Baptist Church by the Rev. Jerry Parsons. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Survivors include one son, Lewis Nordon III of Lillington; one daughter; Amy Nordon of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three sisters, Olie N. Hardee of Cameron, and Nolie N. Patterson and Alda N. Parker, both of Lillington; and one granddaughter, Jamie Leigh Nordon.
