      From the Revolutionary War Files:
      John Cameron enlisted November 1, 1781 and served three months in Captain Neill McCranie's Co. Colonel Thomas Armstrong's NC Regiment , and enlisted in July 1782 and served four months in Captain John Mebane's Co. in the same regiment . He was allowed pension of $25.83 per year on September 4, 1832 for his service.
