  [Obituary from the HARNETT COUNTY NEWS] Wednesday, 9 Feb 2000: Eldon L. Thomas Eldon L. Thomas, 74, of Lillington died Monday, Jan. 31, at his home. Before Thomas retired, he was the owner and operator of Broadway Tire and Mini Mart. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 2, at Raven Rock Presbyterian Church by Dr. Jerry Vuncannon. Burial was in the church cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Lola Page Thomas; one daughter, Nell Thompson of Morehead City; one son, Steven Lewis Thomas of Conway, S. C.; two sisters, Vera McNeill of Broadway and Dessie LeNeave of Raleigh; one brother, Lamar Thomas of Broadway; and four grandchildren. A service of O'Quinn-Peebles Funeral Home in Lillington.
