GERTRUDE MYERS
Gertrude Myers Dies Saturday In Winston-Salem
Gertrude Taylor Myers, wife of former Wilkes County Sheriff Fred Myers, of Route 6, North Wilkesboro, died Saturday, Feb. 29, at N.C. Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem.
Funeral services were held this morning at Baptist Home Baptist Church by the Rev. Mark Hollar. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Myers was born in Harnett County to Lonnie Rufus and Ida Belle Taylor. She was a homemaker and a member of Baptist Home Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Steve Myers of North Wilkesboro; two sisters, Elsie Taylor Wester of Sanford, and Clara Taylor Swann of Lillington; and one grandchild.
Memorials may be made to Baptist Home Baptist Church Building Fund.
