Born July 16, 1912 in Petersburg, VA. Served in 82nd Airborne and 13th Airborne Divisions of U.S. Army in World War II. He is survived by his wife, Ella Pressley Crabtree, daughter, Lyndia Ruth Crabtree, both of Greensboro and son, Reuben Early Crabtree Jr. of Raleigh.
