Notes |
- [Ron Prince]
"Henrietta was the daughter of Henderson Prince and wife Catherine. She first appears as a one year old child in the 1860 census (P.216)of Harnett County. She is listed a a "twin" with a child listed only by initials "C. C." The twin must have died before 1870 when Henrietta is again listed (P.25)in the family of Henderson and Catherine Prince. She is now 10 years old. Henderson Prince was a grandson of Nathan Prince of early day (1790)Cumberland Co., NC. Henderson is mentioned in Nathan's Will (1821).(see Probate records of Cumberland County) Nathan Prince was born in Virginia, probably Sussex County. He appears to be closely related to the Princes of Brunswick and Greenville and Sussex Counties,VA,late 1700s. (see land records of Greenville and Brunswick Co.'s, VA)"
