Alsey Sexton Co C. 31st Infantry CSA POW Captured Gaines farm died Feb 19 1865

Alsey Sexton was captured at Gaines Mill in Virginia, along with another of his brothers (there were five CSA brothers in that line). Alsey spent time at Point Lookout, Maryland ( where one of his brothers died), then was transferred to Elmira, New York prison, where he died of Variola. He is buried under the incorrect name, "ALEX".
