"Neatie Francis Mills, born 6/6/1884 ... was not the daughter of John A. Mills, but the daughter of Nancy Catherine Dean (only). As you will note, they did not marry until Oct. 14, 1896. According to the 1900 Census she was listed as Neattie Dean.
Her death certificate states her father to be unknown."
