WESTER, JOHN H., Private Resided in Harnett County where he enlisted on October 30, 1861. Present or accounted for until captured at Roanoke Island on February 8, 1862. Paroled at Elizabeth City on February, 21, 1862. Returned to duty on or about September 15, 1862. Wounded at White Hall on December 16, 1862. Reported absent sick during January-April, 1863. Returned to duty prior to May 1, 1864. Deserted on December 27, 1864.
