James L. Ellis

Mr. James L. Ellis, 84, of 1417 19th St. died Sunday, Feb 20, 1994, at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital.
Grave side service will be at 2 P.M. today at Lakeview Memorial Park.
Mr. Ellis was a native of Hertford Country, he was retired from Cone Mills.
Surviving are his wife, Myrtle Ellis of the residence; sons, Bernard Ellis of Greensboro, Bruce Ellis of Yanceyville, Don L Ellis of Liberty, and Danny Ellis of Reidsville; daughter, Christine Robertson of Greensboro; brother, James Stafford of Suffolk, Va.; 23 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

(Son Don is Donnell H. Ellis, brother James Stafford is the son of Will and Jane Stafford.)

James married Myrtle Elizabeth Howard on 6 Apr 1929 in Danville, Virginia. Myrtle (daughter of Thomas Elias Howard and Louise Elizabeth Tart) was born on 10 Sep 1913 in Erwin, Harnett Co., North Carolina; died on 26 Jan 1999 in Greensboro, North Carolina. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
